Carnations are naturally purplish-pink in colour, but thanks to science and cross breeding, they can be found in many different colours. Different colours have different meanings:
- White carnations symbolize purity and luck.
- Light red carnations symbolize admiration.
- Dark red carnations symbolize love and affection.
- Pink carnations symbolize gratitude.
